Latest Published Work!! :)

Hi everyone :-)

Things have been a little hectic over the past few weeks, but I thought I would take a little time out to show you my latest published work in KISMET Magazine, "A Silhouette Romance"

This was a super fun shoot, as always! I worked with an amazing team, one that I am becoming quite fond of :) These ladies always deliver the best results and I really cannot thank them enough for contributing their amazing talents to my shoots! :) :) Make-Up extraodinaire Nicola Keeves is MAC trained and ALWAYS provides absolutely flawless make-up :) :) Elicia Rudd uses her magic fingers and always comes up with sensational hair styles and those long, long legs belong to the lovely Ellen Casey of Viviens Model Management! Ellen is an absolute pleasure to work with and simply cannot take a bad photo!

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the gorgeous apparel by labels like:

Rosie & Broken: A local Perth clothing and accessories label run by Lambda Tran and Sophia Jalla. This label is feminine, strong and beautiful and definitely a label to WATCH! The clothing I got to use had a colour palette of nudes and beiges with soft greys and it was utterly amazing! Styles that I would most definitely wear myself so I cant praise it enough! xx

Cherry Noire Lingerie: Currently located in The Collonade, Subiaco but soon will only be sold exclusively online. This lingerie is top quality with the most amazing, feminine styles and fabrics.
Every girl needs some amazing lingerie - a little secret under her clothes - to make her feel confident and glamorous!

Carmen Steffens: Ooohhh the shoes!!! The SHOES are to DIE FOR! Carmen Steffens sure knows what a girl wants :) Hand-crafted in Brazil, these babies are high quality shoes and handbags and deliver a level of exclusivity, beauty and unique style which cannot be found in any other brand! Its one of the fastest growing international brands of high fashion women's footwear, handbags and accessories.

Scarlet Fashion: An AMAZING little store just recently opened up in North Beach, Perth! Tara Blackwood, an inspiring young lady who followed her dreams, owns the store and stocks some of the most sought after labels around! Be sure to shop up a storm at Scarlet Fashion! x

I have many more shoots as well as exciting news to come, cant wait to show you all!
Keep your eyes peeled :) :)

Tribal Instincts

Primal and tribal prints are very much in for spring/summer 2010! Designers are moving away from whites, blacks and greys and opting for bright and colourful prints for the coming season. I just stumbled upon these gorgeous pieces by designer Dries Van Noten at Paris Fashion Week. Diane von Furstenberg's amazing maxi dress creations graced the catwalks at New York Fashion Week and most certainly turned some heads!

I'm in love with this style and cant wait to get my hands on some colourful pieces!!
I am a huge fan of Nicole Richie and her label "Winter Kate". She has some amazing styles and prints in her collections! *loooove* <3 <3 <3

I'm absolutely smitten with these colours and prints! Cant wait to update my wardrobe and style a shoot inspired by tribal fashion! Keep your eyes peeled for more, coming soon! :) :)

Til next time.. <3

Recent Work

Hey everyone!

Things have been super busy around POISE lately! I havn't really had a chance to upload any of my latest work, and I've had to keep some under wraps until magazine publish dates. I'll be able to post them up really soon though! ♥ ♥ ♥

In the mean time , here are some snaps from a shoot I did a little while ago. The gorgeous clothing was provided by the lovely ladies down at Scarlet Fashion. Located in the coastal suburb of North Beach, they provide fashion forward labels inspired by the latest trends and, hallelujah!, they have something for every budget!!!! They stock labels like one teaspoon, STYLESTALKER, WILDFOX, staple, MINK PINK, gypsy 05, LIBERTE, saxonne, minty meets munt, piper lane, FINDERS KEEPERS, anise, sue sensi
and many, many more ♥
Scarlet has been open for just on a month now, and Tara Blackwood has done an amazing job with it! Definitely worth popping in and picking up some delicious fashion treats!

Below are the snaps - something a little different from the harsh winter fashion editorials around. I hope you enjoy lingering over the pretty pastels for a different take on winter.

Team consisted of:
Photography/Post-Production: Me
Hair/Make-up: Kira Caine
Model/Styling: Emily Bathgate @ Scene

In other news, I just finished shooting another 16 page editorial for KISMET Magazine's August issue. Very excited about it! ♥ I've been wanting to do a shoot like this for a while now, and I finally got to incorporate my idea with the theme, so YAY! I worked with an amazing team and sourced some beautiful apparel from some of the best little boutiques and designers!!! Cant wait to show you all, will upload some snaps after August 1st:)

Thats all for now, Thanks for stopping by! ♥ ♥ ♥

KISMET Magazine Fashion Spread

Hey everyone,

A couple of weeks ago I got the opportunity to shoot not one, but TWO 16 page fashion stories for KISMET Magazine! Of course this news resulted in frantic planning, garment sourcing, studio booking, team co-ordinating and model booking! It was a hectic few weeks but we pulled it together and I am ecstatic with the results!!

First, we shot the "No words" story. A dramatic series portraying emotion and the telling of a story without any words. The shoot was exhausting with all the jumping around in order to portray "movement" and "energy" in the series. Alana - the model - was such a professional and totally put up with all of my strange demands "look as though somebody is pulling your arm whilst you lift your leg and swing your hair, Oh and dont forget to look angry and keep your eyes on the camera!!!!"
A big thank you to all the designers who were gracious enough to lend us some clothing. Alister Yiap for his amazing jewellery/accessories range, Rock-A-Frock, Merge Subiaco and Paper Skye for their amazing collections - THANK YOU!
When KISMET saw the images they decided it would fit perfectly in their "Sexy" issue.
I tend to agree! :-)

Our second shoot was themed "Pop Art". For this one we had to find amazing, colourful, unique clothing that would really "POP" .. and we found it!
A big thank you to Zoe Trotman, the amazing designer of "Lonely 8bit Heroes". Her fantastic designs complimented the shoot perfectly. The awesome shoes were provided by "Three Bears Coastal Urban". And to Kelly Holmes, our gorgeous model who is always such a pleasure to work with! She was so professional and she is always coming up with ideas to really enhance what we are trying to achieve. Blake Polmear worked his fantastic magic on the hair and Cindy Sutton created a masterpiece, as always! Emily Bathgate worked tirelessly to bring the designs together and put the fantastic looks together :)

Thanks for dropping by! Until next time...
